🚀 Job Opening: General Manager – Production
📍 Location: Bengaluru
We are looking for experienced General Manager – Production to lead our Plastic Extrusion manufacturing operations specializing in Nylon Flexible Conduits, PVC Wire Ducts, and Cable Management Systems. The role will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, productivity, quality, and cross-functional leadership across the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead overall plant manufacturing operations including Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Dispatch.
✔ Develop and execute production strategies to achieve business objectives related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Productivity.
✔ Ensure achievement of production targets while optimizing manpower, machine utilization, raw material consumption, and manufacturing costs.
✔ Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, OEE, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the factory.
✔ Monitor and improve process capability, production efficiency, rejection levels, yield, and overall operational performance.
✔ Work closely with the Engineering and R&D teams for new product development, process validation, tooling improvements, and product industrialization.
✔ Collaborate with the Finance Department to prepare annual operating budgets, control manufacturing costs, improve profitability, monitor inventory, and achieve plant financial targets.
✔ Partner with the HR Department to develop manpower planning, succession planning, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, training, and industrial relations.
✔ Build a high-performance culture by mentoring department heads and developing future manufacturing leaders.
✔ Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF quality systems, statutory regulations, environmental requirements, and EHS standards.
✔ Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, and OEM customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
✔ Prepare and present plant performance reports, KPIs, budgets, improvement projects, and business reviews to senior management and corporate leadership.
Preferred Profile:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA is an added advantage.
✔ 15+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
✔ Strong hands-on experience in Plastic Extrusion, preferably in Nylon Flexible Conduits, PVC Wire Ducts, Cable Protection Systems, Automotive Components, or Industrial Plastic Products.
✔ Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, Finance, Planning, and Supply Chain.
✔ Excellent leadership, business acumen, strategic planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
