- Job Opening: Purchase Manager
📍 Location: Bengaluru
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement operations for our Plastic Extrusion manufacturing facility specializing in Nylon Flexible Conduits, PVC Wire Ducts, and Cable Management Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted material availability to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, engineering items, consumables, machinery, and capital equipment.
✔ Source and procure polymers including PA6, PA12, PVC, PP, HDPE, additives, color masterbatches, and other production materials.
✔ Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
✔ Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and commercial agreements to achieve cost savings and improve profitability.
✔ Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage domestic and international suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
✔ Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on quality, cost, delivery, service, and continuous improvement.
✔ Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.
✔ Monitor inventory, material consumption, slow-moving stock, and purchase forecasts to optimize working capital.
✔ Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, statutory regulations, and company procedures.
✔ Lead cost reduction, localization, value engineering, and alternate vendor development initiatives.
✔ Prepare procurement budgets, MIS reports, supplier performance dashboards, and purchasing KPIs for management review.
Preferred Profile:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain is preferred.
✔ 10–15 years of experience in Procurement within Plastic Extrusion, Automotive Components, Electrical Products, Cable Management Systems, or Industrial Manufacturing.
✔ Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, inventory planning, and cost analysis.
✔ Experience in sourcing polymers, engineering components, machinery spare parts, electrical items, and industrial consumables.
✔ Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent procurement software.
✔ Excellent negotiation, analytical, supplier relationship management, communication, and leadership skills.
